Cadillac is taking its compact OPTIQ EV and injecting some serious performance with a new V-Series variant, and this thing sounds like a silent rocket. The OPTIQ-V gets a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system cranking out a hefty 519 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. That’s good enough for a blistering 0-60 mph sprint in just 3.5 seconds with “Velocity Max” engaged.
An 85 kWh battery pack gives you up to 275 miles of range, and charging is quick: 70 miles in just 10 minutes with DC fast charging. Plus, it’s set to be the first GM vehicle to rock a NACS port. Beyond the raw power, you’ll find V-Mode for tailoring performance, Launch Control for those drag-strip starts, Competitive Mode with advanced traction management, and Brembo performance brakes up front. Super Cruise hands-free driving is standard for three years, too.
The Cadillac OPTIQ-V hits the streets this fall just under $70,000, so get ready for a shockingly fast and luxurious electric ride.
