Hoka has always been known for its clouds of cushion, but they’ve taken things to an entirely new level with the new Skyward Laceless. This is a post-run update to their Skyward X trainer, transforming it into an active-recovery slip-on that’s built for pure, unadulterated comfort.
The design ditches the carbon plate of the original, doubling down on the massive dual-foam platform of PEBA and EVA. This monstrous stack height, which is technically illegal for elite racing, makes it one of the most cushioned shoes in the world. They’ve also swapped out the laces for a sock-like upper with form-fitting stretch, turning this into a slip-on that’s all about everyday opulence and ease.
Hoka’s Skyward Laceless ($175) and will be available in three colors. If you’re looking for the ultimate recovery shoe or just a ridiculously comfortable daily driver, this is one to keep on your radar.
