We’ve been fans of Tracksmith for a while, and the brand’s latest release only reinforces our admiration. The new Eliot Range marks their first foray into the trail running world, and they’ve made their move with a shoe that perfectly merges tradition with modern performance. This is only the brand’s third shoe ever, and true to form, it’s as refined as it is capable.
The Eliot Range features a drop-in midsole made from Pebax and a snappy nylon plate that also serves as a rock shield. The outsole is a custom Vibram XS Trek Evo with a multi-surface lug pattern inspired by New England trails, meaning it’s ready for everything from gravel to singletrack. But the real standout is the upper. Instead of using high-tech synthetics, Tracksmith went with a Merino wool liner and a ripstop woven outer, prioritizing comfort, breathability, and a secure lockdown while still keeping trail debris out.
The Eliot Range comes in at $240, putting it in the premium category, but still less than some of its high-end competitors. If you’re looking for a trail shoe that stands out from the pack, this one is worth a serious look.
