Apple’s unveiled an all-new HomePod, with improved sound and newfound smarts.
HomePod houses a custom 4″ high-excursion woofer and five beamforming tweeters. There’s multiroom support, and the ability to pair with other HomePod speakers.

Apple’s also added spatial audio with Dolby Atmos support. You can even pair with your Apple TV to bring Atmos content to life in your home theater.

In addition to more powerful sound, HomePod’s has smart features like temperature and humidity sensors, the ability to hear smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and it supports the Matter home connectivity standard.

Available in white or midnight, the second-generation HomePod ships in February for $299.
